365 Days of Carol Anne (Learning to Love Myself)

Day 75

*points above* That my dear friends in the magic of photo retouching. My flushed face is miraculously white. *laughs*  Of course I’m not a skilled photo retoucher so my hair is closer to brown than red in this photo but I’m okay with that. *still laughing*

Of course this project is all about learning to love myself as is so in the interest of maintaining my integrity and the integrity of the project the original photo is below.

Speaking of integrity and wanting to tell the truth and be honest, there’s a post percolating in my head about popular bloggers and the anti-popular bloggers phenomenon. I often wish I were a popular blogger with ads on my blog so I could maybe make a few dollars doing what I love. Even more than wanting that I’d love a robust community of commenting readers. It seems that, that is not to be and quite honestly I may be alright with that.

I’m fascinated* by the hateful comments people leave on these bloggers’ sites and Twitter feeds. (*fascinated may be the wrong word, but you get my point) I’d be heartbroken and beside myself if I had to suffer through a constant barrage of hateful and unpleasant comments and Tweets. I’d most certainly delete you if you were leaving nasty comments on my blog. As far as I’m concerned my blog is my home on the web and I’d view it as vandalism if you were to come and comment and make nasty remarks.

I don’t know. Maybe I’ll e-mail a few of the popular bloggers and their detractors to ask how they feel about their detractors and why they do what they do. Or maybe I’ll just keep to myself and stay out of all the drama.
