haiku friday

Haiku Friday (National Poetry Month Edition)

April 27, 2012 by carol anne Leave a Comment

Hey! Good evening and welcome to day 27 of National Poetry Month.

Today’s poem is my second of 2 original haikus. Haiku Friday is a weekly blogging event all year and so I thought I’d try my hand at an original for the last 2 Fridays of National Poetry Month.

Independence

took the bus today
took myself to therapy
feels like freedom, yay

Hey! Good evening and welcome to day 20 of National Poetry Month.

Today’s poem is an original haiku. Haiku Friday is a weekly blogging event all year and so I thought I’d try my hand at an original for the last 2 Fridays of National Poetry Month.

I thought about it all day while I was away from my computer and decided to go with whimsical and simple for my first (2) try (ies). Feel free to contribute your own haikus this week and next.

this poem is late

to physical therapy

i go on friday

or

the shoulder is on

the mend so i can pass the

ketchup once again

*laughs* Okay, so I’m no Shakespeare. I’ll try for a more profound haiku next Friday.
