Eastern Comma Butterfly

NaBloPoMo 2014: Butterflies

November 4, 2014 by carol anne 4 Comments

I’m relatively new to nature and wildlife. Six years ago I fell in love with our backyard birds and my love birding took hold. So you’ll forgive me when I tell you that I had no idea there were still butterflies in the MidAtlantic region in October. The following butterflies were photographed at the Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge in Oceanville, NJ and at the Gardens at Mt. Cuba Center in Hockessin, DE.
