1. Carol Anne,
I am so happy you are writing again!
I know how you feel, I’ve also been in a place where I can’t seem to get the writing out, many times. In fact, right now I am going through a phase where I haven’t worked on my children’s books. But I know that it’s just a phase, that I will bounce back and just like you, the writing will flow for me again soon.
Thank you for sharing and for your kind words.

  2. Hi Carol Anne, thank you for this lovely, frank review. By bizarre coincidence, I opened the link to your review tonight after returning from hospital visiting my elderly mother, who is critically ill and not expected to see Christmas, so your tale about your father struck a chord. I feel your pain and like Celeste, work on book two has been stalled as there is nothing harder than trying to write comedy when your world as you knew it feels as though it is crumbling around you. I lost my father when I was fifteen and I still miss him. As they say, it doesn’t get better – just easier over time. You have a beautiful blog and devoting your time to reviewing books by little known authors like myself is a wonderful, supportive thing to do. Thank you; I am honoured to be your first review. I hope you go from strength to strength. The rollercoaster has ups as well as downs. Just take them as they come, knowing that each steep drop you conquer makes you come up at the other side, ever stronger. xxx

    • Heather, I am so sorry to hear your mother is not doing well. Thank you for taking the time to comment on my little blog, I really enjoyed your book. I hope you get back to writing soon. I look forward to reading more of your books.
