We woke to a gorgeous fall day on Saturday morning, the kind of day meant for seeing and doing, so we jumped in the car and made our way down to Hagley Museum and Library in Wilmington. We were there once before 5 years ago, I’d always regretted not taking photos on that lovely fall day so it was nice to make up for it on Saturday. There are acres and acres of beautiful grounds you can walk along the Brandywine. The property is the site of the gunpowder works founded by the du Pont family in the 1800s. There are plenty of historical things you can see and do but I recommend leaving time to just walk and enjoy the beautiful grounds. It really was the most perfect beautiful fall day, and like the woman we met there said, “You don’t get too many of these in life.”
You can see the rest of the photos from Saturday at my Flickr page.
I always enjoy your photos.
Happy sigh.

Very lovely. Many times I wish I could escape in pictures. Blessings.
