Day 346
I had a good day today. I spent the morning at mom’s, and by spent the morning at I really mean slept. There is nothing like being taken care of by good old mom. She set me up in dad’s recliner, gave me a pillow & a blankie, fed me cereal and toast and let me sleep for a few hours. I was so sound asleep that it was hard to get myself together to leave for my appointment when Chuck came to get me.
I saw Dr. Matthews this afternoon. Thankfully she took the drain out of my back, which lessened my pain load considerably. The stitches and sutures and staples will most likely all come out on December 28. She said everything looks good and is healing well. I’m so happy to have the drain out of my back. I know it was only a piece of plastic tubing but the pain and discomfort it caused was considerable.
After my appointment we stopped at Barnes & Noble so the hubs could pick up a book and I treated myself to a Venti iced caramel macchiato. It was nice to have a little normalcy for a while. I”m going to end here tonight. Thank you all for stopping by every day to read and offer support. I love you all.
Love,
