Day 192
In January I embarked on a journey on which I hoped to learn to love myself. That journey merged with my daily chronicle of this fight with cancer. I’ve shared with you my ups and my downs, my fears and my successes. As I continue on this journey to love myself more and perhaps become a better person along the way I add one more quest, learning to drive. That’s right boys and girls Carol Anne’s gonna learn to drive so get off the sidewalks and say your prayers there’s gonna be a new driver in town soon.
Can an almost 40-year-old woman learn to drive? I don’t know but we’re gonna find out. Make sure your insurance deductibles are paid up, fasten your seat belts and keep all hands and feet inside the vehicle it’s going to be a bumpy ride. Tomorrow a new series will begin here on the blog — Learning to Drive with the Soapbox Girl. Join me as I read my way through the driver’s manual and begin my journey toward vehicular freedom. I figure you’ll either be bored stiff or terrified that I’m out on the road either way I hope blogging my way through the studying process will help the info stick in my head and keep me honest about studying every day.
Thanks for stopping by every day. I love you all.
Love,
~ Carol Anne
Good for you Carol!!!!!
Thanks Pina!
Congrats!!! Eveery woman should learn how to drive, I see so many women come in this office who can’t and have to count on every person to drag them around, the older ones who did drive are happy they do know. You will be just fine. I bet you will be a really safe driver too, I think that’s one of the best decisions you could make so go to it, You’re going to be great. You can come and visit me. Haha
Hugs
Suz
Thanks Suzy Q! Actually I’m afraid I’ll be my easily distracted self while driving.
The best to you in your road to recovery! This is awesome. Good to see you focusing on these types of issues! :)) I have to go renew my NYS lisc. soon so I am with you…I need it for work, they are making it a requirement.
Thanks Suze!
Good for you! You went through my fear of failing driving wise and I made it so you can too, I guarantee it!
Thanks SC! I hope I can do it.
