Day 160
Earlier today I wrote a very serious post for tonight. It was inspired by the cover story about Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia in today’s Daily News. It will now run later this weekend but if you get a chance to read the Daily News piece before I blog about it you most certainly should. It put my life and yesterday’s whiny post in perspective for sure.
I’m choosing to table that post tonight in order to tell you about my wonderful afternoon. Today’s radiation treatment and 2nd planning appointment took place at 2pm today. I was in and out in no time and everything is set for my new narrowed treatment field. After my treatment I went in to have my head re-bandaged by Tricia, one of my radiation nurses. It was here that my day took a turn for the amazing. She had two pillows (pink no less) made for me with Cuppy and Snowy’s pictures on them. She said they are from the whole department so I suppose my amazing team of radiation therapists and nurses chipped in to buy them for me. I’m so humbled and amazed and grateful. I couldn’t ask for a better group of people taking care of me.
You have to see these adorable pink pillows. They’re amazing and adorable and comfy and and and, adorable. Did I mention amazing? Her sister makes them and she used photos of Cuppy and Snowy that were posted right here on Soapboxville. I’m so appreciative and gleefully happy and just so amazed. I’ve been trying to decide where to use them and I’m thinking I’ll use them in my new little home away from home in the middle room. I’ve been thinking about buying a love seat or futon for that room and I think the pillows will make an excellent addition to my “home office”, which is home to my pretty pink desk chair from IKEA.
The following two photos are of the amazing pillows and of Snowy checking out his own likeness.
Thank you so much for coming by every day. I love you all.
Love,

Oh how I wish I was going to your place for treatment!!! I mean my girls are nice and everything, but one doesn’t get the personal attention that you seem to get…. For some reason, I can’t get your pics to show up. Maybe its my puter..
Can’t wait to read that article!
