My friend Angel is blogging her way through lists like favorite foods and places she’s been. I’m stealing her idea for tonight’s post.
I’m interested. I love other people’s stories; not celebrities but actual everyday folks. I do like celebrities’ stories too. I like learning how people got from here to there. There’s so many times I’d love to ask people how’d you get here. How’d you arrive at this point in your life? Did you have an easy life? Is everything you have hard won? I suppose that’s why I love blogs and Twitter and Facebook, they’re glimpses into other people’s everyday lives.
I love animals. Me and the hubs feed three stray cats, 2 squirrels, 1 chipmunk and a bunch of the local birds, including at least 4 peanut-eating Blue Jays. And *laughs* at least on one occasion our local possum has eaten the wet cat food we put out.
Lonely things make me sad. I feel bad for shopping carts that people leave adrift in the parking lot or in one case, partially submerged in a storm drain. I saw a Christmas tree out on the curb for pickup with two ornaments left on it. I felt to so bad I almost took them off and brought them home. It was only for fear of someone calling the police that I didn’t. I felt bad for them just forgotten and tossed aside in the rush to un-decorate the house. I wondered if they were sad.
